Program for Research and Education in Space Technology

PREST was established in 1989 to meet the nation's ever-increasing needs in the advancement of science, engineering, and technology and to prepare qualified students for careers in space technology. The education and research opportunities offered in the program combine the academic resources of GW's School of Engineering and Applied Science and the professional research staff and facilities of the NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center. These opportunities enable you to be involved in significant research projects and to associate with faculty from the University, scientists and engineers from NASA, and prominent visiting researchers who are working on related problems.

If you are pursuing a degree at the NASA-Goddard Space Flight Center in the area of communications, computer science, or mechanical engineering, you may be eligible for one of our research scholar assistantships, providing full tuition awards and a stipend.
